Private advice has twice been received to the effect that Private Thos. Davis, second surviving of Mr and Mrs W. Davis of Tauherenikau, Featherston, who was previously reported missing since May 8th, was killed in action at the Dardanelles. He was well known thoughout the Wairarapa, also in several different parts of New South Wales. The eldest son of Mr and Mrs Davis (Tropper Cyril H. Davis) left with the Sixth Reinforcements.
