Welcome to Kete Masterton

Your Stories - Your Pictures - Your Kete

Kete Masterton has been created to capture and preserve the memories, stories and activities of the people of Masterton. Kete (the Māori word for basket) is open source software, originally developed by Katipo Communications and the Horowhenua Library Trust.  Kete can be used by individuals and community groups to upload documents, photographs, audio or video, and then group them together in 'baskets'.

To start you need to register an account. You may like to look at the about basket [kete] or around the help section. If you need help the staff at the Masterton District Library will be pleased to assist. The library also has computers, scanners (to copy those old documents and photos), and access to other recording devices for projects. If you would like to attend a training workshop in using and developing a Kete site please register your interest with the Masterton Library

(06) 370 6253.

Kete Masterton is provided for you by the Masterton District Library and Wairarapa Archive through The Aotearoa Peoples Network Kaharoa.
